True sacrifice consists in sharing with others, one's wealth, strength, etc. that have been derived from society. Man becomes immortal by the spirit of sacrifice and not by deeds, progeny or wealth. Man should therefore make an effort to make his life meaningful by sacrificing personal comforts for the sake of society and his fellow beings.
